Rooted in Rest: A Summer Yoga Nidra Series — Session 2: Releasing the Mind
Aparigraha | Non-Grasping
"You are the sky. Everything else is just the weather." — Pema Chödrön
The body has settled. But the mind? Still making grocery lists.
This is the second session in a three-part Yoga Nidra series exploring Aparigraha — the practice of non-grasping. Having released the body in Session 1, we turn our attention to the mental layer: the thoughts we keep returning to, the worries we can't put down, the mental chatter that follows us even into rest.
This session isn't about clearing the mind. It's about changing your relationship to it — practicing the art of observing thoughts without following them, letting them pass like clouds without grabbing on.
Our sankalpa for this session: There is space between me and my thoughts.
Expect breath awareness, a rotation of consciousness, and a guided visualization designed to create spaciousness between you and your thinking mind.
Suitable for all levels. No prior yoga experience required. Best experienced lying down.
