Rooted in Rest: A Summer Yoga Nidra Series — Session 1: Releasing the Body
Aparigraha | Non-Grasping
Most of us are holding more than we realize — in our shoulders, our jaw, the subtle grip we carry through an entire day without noticing.
This session opens a three-part Yoga Nidra series exploring Aparigraha, the yogic principle of non-grasping. We begin in the body: practicing the art of softening, releasing physical tension stored in muscle and breath, and giving your nervous system permission to stop bracing.
Our sankalpa for this session: I soften my grip.
Expect a full-body scan, breath awareness, and a guided visualization designed to help you let go of what you've been carrying — not by force, but by simply allowing the body to remember what ease feels like.
Suitable for all levels. No prior yoga experience required. Best experienced lying down.
